High-viz road safety jackets

25th November 2015
On Wednesday 25th November we had a visit from representatives from the fire service, Sure Start (Cramlington Children’s Centres) and the Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As part of a new road safety campaign, we have been given high-viz jackets for some of our pupils which they can wear in the dark on their way to/from school to make them more visible and help to keep them safe during the winter months.

Pupils in Reception, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3 (and we hope Year 4) will each bring home a high-viz jacket courtesy of Drager and Sure Start! This  has been publicised in the local media so you may see more about it in the coming weeks.  Ten pupils had their photos taken today with representatives from the agencies supporting the initiative.

Thanks to Drager, the Fire Brigade, Sure Start and the NHS Healthcare Trust for their support!
