3 superb 'sporting stars' were chosen to represent Eastlea at the Celebration event at St James' Park
We went on a stadium tour.
This started high up on level 7 of the ground...
...where the views across Newcastle were amazing!
We then were taken inside the players entrance.
...and stood at the top of the tunnel where the players go onto the pitch
The 'away team' dressing room had shirts of lots of Premier League teams on display.
Then we went to the 'home team' dressing room - which was a lot more 'plush'!!
Local Hero was played as we made our way pitch side down the tunnel....
...before emerging near to the dugouts.
There were 19 heated seats for the home team players and manager!
Although we were not allowed to stand on the pitch - we got very close!
Then it was back up to the "Four Corners" lounge area where the NUFC Foundation staff led team games for children from the different schools.
First they had to discover and remember the sequence to get across the 'mine field'!
...before negotiating the logs!
There was a secret cargo hidden underneath the camouflage net which they had to look at and then describe to their team mates.
...before racing back to their 'camp'...
...and aiming to recreate the items in EXACTLY the same way as they had seen.
Our team solved the challenge and got an extra bonus point for being observant and showing great team work and communication skills!
Then we had a zany team game which involved bunny hopping through a hula hoop route!
...then playing the rock paper scissors game with the opposition
and then racing forwards or being replaced by another member of your team!
After a tasty lunch we were finally we were presented with our PLATINUM SCHOOL GAMES MARK AWARD!!
