We had a super Golden Day on 25th October and each class did activities linked to their own 'topic'
Year 3 focused on the Stone Age
...Stone Henge made out of biscuits was very tempting!!
Year 4 prepared an Anglo Saxon feast
The soup, bread, stew, honey flapjack and fruit crumble were very tasty
Year 5 focused on volcanoes in the morning
...then they went out and about on a photographic geography mission in the afternoon.
Year 2 became bakers from Pudding Lane
...they then made the houses to recreate Pudding Lane itself
..and the adults set fire to them....
... we watched how the flames were carried down the street just like in 1666!!
Year 1 focused on 'ourselves' and their 'senses'... they made textured pasta pictures
...made skeleton goodie bags
...and did a crisp tasting test!!
Year 6 were 'rain forest experts'.
...they planted their own biodomes
...created tasty tropical fruit smoothies...
...completed a 'make a sloth' sewing challenge
...and made carnival masks!
Early Years had a teddy bears picnic in the woodland on site in the morning.
...they also iced biscuits
...and Reception went to the park in the afternoon.
