The Activity Room
The Activity Room opened in September 2005 and is
currently used on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Mrs Raimes and Mrs Birdsey currently supervise this
area . All of the children in Reception , Year 1 ,
Year 2 , Year 3 , and Year 4 have the opportunity to
take part in an Activity room session . The children
come to the Activity room in their family groups and
are given a specific timetabled slot, it normally
takes two weeks for all of the family groups to take
part. When this has been achieved the process starts
all over again. There are many different activities
available for the children to choose from :

- Art
Activity
All of the
above activities are on permanent display , the
following activities are rotated ,on a fortnightly
basis.
The children
are encouraged to chose their own activity cards and
both members of staff move around the activities to
ensure that everyone's at ease and happy .At the end
of the session the children take part in circle
time, this enables all of the children to share
their experiences with all of their friends. The aim
of the activity room is to encourage the children to
feel confident in social situations, understand the
importance of sharing and helping one another and
encouraging listening and speaking skills. At the
end of each session we hope that all the children
have had a positive experience with lots of fun
